new home, new routines

So the move is still fresh in my mind - I am reminded by the new-ness living in the new home on a daily basis by the numerous unpacked boxes still present. Funny enough though I don't seem to be missing any essential items for our day to day lives. It does feel a bit like Christmas when we come across something unexpected and it makes me smile.
New routines are developing too, so far so good - my daily commute is less than half of what it used to be and this includes dropping baby off with his lovely 'day-mom' in the morning.
Phoenix seems to be adjusting well to the new school, even though he already encountered some run-ins with some not so nice kids - mainly girls which are from now on referred to as 'tussies'. He likes his new teacher, which for a change seems to be one that actually does give a damn, a refreshing perspective.

2010 you cannot stop me if you tried

2009 had its ups and downs - its challenges, rewards, disappointments, moments of great joy and immense despair, there was anxiety and expectations, love and blessings, realizations and fear...

so for 2010 I am open - ready for the new challenges life throws my way and I will not allow anyone to hold me back, so don't even try because you might get hurt.

I draw my strength from my boys - Phoenix who is my POWERHOUSE and Zane who is our absolute perfect SUNSHINE - they make me happy and I love them both to pieces.

2010 is looking pretty bright - we're leaving the gloomy remnants of 2009 behind - waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind - we're letting the good energy in.

Phoenix just turned 8!!! where did the time go???? Daddy made it home just in time for the B-day celebration.

Nala has no shame - she lays down in all places baby... so far I've caught her in the maxi cosi (car seat), the babybathtub, and now the crib....

Look at Zane he's loving having Nala hang out with him, and he sure has a death grip on her neck ;-)

Grateful

I am not a huge thanksgiving fan - but I have a great appreciation for the little things in life. I am grateful that I have 2 healthy children and just wanted to say it out loud. I love my children more than life itself and I would be totally devastated if anything were to ever happen to them. I feel so sorry for all the families out there that have sick children and there's nothing they can do for them.

I am grateful - I truly am and I will cherish every moment with my little monsters because you just never know what tomorrow holds. I will go cuddle with them now.... be back soon....
