a dream came true

Phoenix and I went to Paris to see Billy Corgan perform an acoustic set as part of the book signing for "Chants Magnetiques" a book he co-wrote with french author Claire Fercak.

What an amazing experience this was, truly unforgettable and magical. Billy was so warm and kind - we will never forget this evening.

new home, new routines

So the move is still fresh in my mind - I am reminded by the new-ness living in the new home on a daily basis by the numerous unpacked boxes still present. Funny enough though I don't seem to be missing any essential items for our day to day lives. It does feel a bit like Christmas when we come across something unexpected and it makes me smile.
New routines are developing too, so far so good - my daily commute is less than half of what it used to be and this includes dropping baby off with his lovely 'day-mom' in the morning.
Phoenix seems to be adjusting well to the new school, even though he already encountered some run-ins with some not so nice kids - mainly girls which are from now on referred to as 'tussies'. He likes his new teacher, which for a change seems to be one that actually does give a damn, a refreshing perspective.

On Saturday I went on a field trip to Duesseldorf Bettypepper to meet the master himself TIM I am now proud owner of a signed copy of his new book COMPENDIUM of CURIOUSITIES

He is truly one of the nicest people out there - thanks for the great experience and the continued inspiration throughout the years.

about my Tattoos

A layout about my decision to pick timeless designs for my tattoo choices at a time when a lot of people where getting flowers or cartoon characters. I knew then that I wanted them to be neutral if you can call body art neutral. I never regretted them.

I've been thinking a lot lately about how I felt during my first pregnancy 7 years ago. The biggest memory apart from being super-excited to become a mom was overshadowed by the 911 attacks (I was 6 months pregnant).
This time around I don't feel anything like I did back then - less worry, more relaxed, I am as sick during this one though as I was during the first one. Unable to really eat most days because of the constant nausea I have only gained 7 pounds in 35 weeks. Baby will be here on July 3rd and we can hardly wait to meet the little man.
We are having a really hard time deciding on a name this time around - See my poll on the side bar (Just for fun!).

fell off my pledge there ...

at fault is the nice weather - keeping me away from the computer.... and still the extreme tiredness that comes with Anemia (Iron Deficiency) but enough excuses. I am preparing my next posts in advance so I can get this Blog updated more efficiently and more quickly..

Migraines suck

After a looong while whithout any serious headaches - but boy oh boy what a migraine from Hell did I just go through - ice packs and IMITREX got me through it but it still sucked.

A LO I did about the day Kepa came home from his 4 month deployment to the middle east.
