new home, new routines

So the move is still fresh in my mind - I am reminded by the new-ness living in the new home on a daily basis by the numerous unpacked boxes still present. Funny enough though I don't seem to be missing any essential items for our day to day lives. It does feel a bit like Christmas when we come across something unexpected and it makes me smile.
New routines are developing too, so far so good - my daily commute is less than half of what it used to be and this includes dropping baby off with his lovely 'day-mom' in the morning.
Phoenix seems to be adjusting well to the new school, even though he already encountered some run-ins with some not so nice kids - mainly girls which are from now on referred to as 'tussies'. He likes his new teacher, which for a change seems to be one that actually does give a damn, a refreshing perspective.

that's all the update I have for now - more to come

This moving process is taking the last bit of energy out of me. I am almost done ;-) seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Anybody waiting for e-mails or packages from me - hang in there. It will all be taken care of, just please bear with me - be patient. xoxo

Phoenix has 1 Chore - Feed the dogs - the other day I heard NEO whining and checked up on him - he was pacing back and forth between the 2 bowls I asked Phoenix 'What is this?' "I GAVE THEM A HAPPY MEAL LIKE AT MCDONALDS"

For those who don't know this yet - I am moving and packing and sorting and stuff - soooooooooooooooo I am making a give away pile - which means some lucky people will be able to win RAKs packed with random goodies. Da ich am umziehen bin - sortieren, packen etc - hat sich ein Haufen Zeugs in meinem Studio in der Verschenken Box angesammelt, das heisst ihr koennt RAKs gewinnen - sagt mir in eueren Kommentaren was fuer material euch am besten gefaellt z.B. farben,motive,embellishments und so weiter. On Saturday I went on a field trip to Duesseldorf Bettypepper to meet the master himself TIM I am now proud owner of a signed copy of his new book COMPENDIUM of CURIOUSITIES

He is truly one of the nicest people out there - thanks for the great experience and the continued inspiration throughout the years.

snowman massacre tribute

Welcome to February - we have lots of snow and Phoenix and I were playing yesterday with the snow and some brads(from my scrapbooking stash) and food coloring - in honor of Calvin and Hobbes. We might re-enact some more scenes today ;-)
our version of the shark attack needs some improvement - we will work on that one
and since we had yellow food-coloring we made this guy who got so scared of the shark attack he peed himself ;-)

this is my new view where I am moving to - I see myself gazing at the distance and just letting my thoughts run wild... reflecting on the past, present and future... it feels good to find a new sense of belonging.
